Work has started on preparing the site for the new build. Yesterday, the builders came to remove the concrete base from the old barn, focusing on the section where the new foundations will be set.
The plan is to dig and pour the foundations on Monday. It’s a job that needs to be completed in one go, as open trenches can’t be left overnight in case of rain, which could cause the sides to weaken. With that in mind, getting the concrete out of the way this week was an important step.
Assuming the weather holds, Monday is expected to be a busy day on site, but the groundwork done so far sets things up well for the next stage.
